Sometimes people report very slow download rates. This is due to CyberGhost not allowing port-forwarding, meaning, all ingoing connections are blocked. I realized I need to enable port forwarding.. which I tried, but it didn't work. For the service type I selected PPTP, and it automatically filled out the External Port & Internal Port with 1723, which from what I am told, is the port for PPTP VPN. Unfortunately, at the current moment, we do not offer port forwarding, as multiple customers are using the same servers. You can read more about that on this blog post. Support for port-forwarding may be implemented in the future. @StephenB, so you're saying the app will automatically see the VPN connection to home base when logged in? It should, yes. Though one poster is saying that didn't work with his system. However, port forwarding is working for him, and that doesn't need a VPN to be set up.
